Today felt special.

I’ve been going to the Cinco de Mayo festival in Denver since 2006, and the last time I came was 2023. Coming back after four years felt like stepping into a memory the music, the food, the cars, the families, the dancers, the energy. Civic Center Park always feels alive during this event.

Even though the crowds were big and the streets were busy, it still felt familiar. I’ve grown up with this festival. Every time I come, I learn something new about the culture, the community, and myself.

⭐ What Stood Out to Me Today

- The classic cars parked downtown

- The music echoing through the buildings

- Families celebrating together

- The smell of food everywhere

- The feeling of being part of something bigger

Cinco de Mayo isn’t just a festival it’s a tradition.

🫶 To Anyone Who Has Been to Cinco de Mayo (Men or Women)

I’m sharing this the same way I would talk to someone in person.

If you’ve been here before:

- What do you recommend I try next time besides just saying hi or waving ?

- What helps you feel comfortable asking for help when you’re shy ?

- What part of the festival do you enjoy the most ?

If you’ve never been:

- What would you suggest next time?

And something I’m still learning:

- Can men and women be friends in a safe, respectful way while enjoying the festival?

šŸ“± Asking for Instagram Help

Sometimes I need temporary help with Instagram not all the time, just when I’m trying to grow my page for a good cause.

If someone is with me during the day, how can I ask friends Instagram help in a friendly, appropriate way

I want to learn how to ask without making anyone feel pressured.

If someone isn’t on Instagram, how can friends still support each other in other ways

šŸ’¬ Easy Questions You Can Answer by Text

You can text me at 720‑461‑5891.

These questions are simple and easy to reply to:

- How long have you been going to Cinco de Mayo

- What should I try next time I go

- What helps you feel confident asking for help

- Are you on Instagram

šŸ“ Why I Ask for Texts Instead of Comments

Because of my learning disabilities and memory challenges, texting is easier for me than reading long comment sections. Text messages is my communication accomodation:

- stay focused

- not lose track of conversations

- remember who I’m talking to

- respond clearly

It’s not about privacy it’s about communication that works better for me.

šŸŽŠ Looking to Visit Again Next Year

I want to keep coming every year. I’m trying to be more social, more engaged, and maybe even find a group outing I can join.

If you’ve been to Cinco de Mayo, I’d love to hear your suggestions.

Feel free to contact me.

What should I explore next time I go?
