Iāve been going to Thrive Church services since March 08, and today was my second time joining the Recovery Friday group since March 20 Friday one. Even though Iām still new, something about today felt deeper. The message was simple but powerful:
- Come to Me and Iāll give you rest
- Donāt fear ā I will help you
- Let go and give it to Him
- Stop thinking like the world
- Jesus is my source
Hearing these words made me slow down and breathe. Recovery isnāt just about fixing something itās about surrendering. Itās about trusting God with the things we hold too tightly. Today reminded me that I donāt have to carry everything alone.
ā What Stood Out to Me Today
- Surrender brings peace
- God doesnāt ask me to be perfect
- Rest comes from trusting Him
- Fear doesnāt win when Jesus is my source
- Recovery is a journey, not a race
Even though Iām still new, I still need help. One step at a time.
š«¶ To My Brothers and Sisters at Thrive recovery road
Iām sharing this the same way I would talk to someone after service relaxed, honest, and respectful.
Donāt hesitate to tell me your thoughts.
Iām always happy to hear how God is speaking to you too.
š¬ Easy Questions You Can Answer by Text
You can text me at 720ā461ā5891.
These questions are simple and easy to reply to:
- What helped you when you were new to Recovery?
- What should I try next time besides just saying hi or waving or listening?
- What part of todayās message encouraged you the most?
- Can men and women be friends in a safe, respectful way? What's possibility?
- How do you ask friends for small help without feeling shy?
- Is anyone here on Instagram? If not how are friends supposed support each other ?
š Why I Ask for Texts Instead of Comments
Because of my learning disabilities and memory challenges, texting is easier for me than reading long comment sections. Text messages help me:
- stay focused
- not lose track of conversations
- remember who Iām talking to
- respond clearly
Itās not about privacy itās about communication that works better for me.
