Today was my very first time ever visiting E.B. Rains Jr. Memorial Park and my first time riding a paddle boat. Iāve been to many parks before, but this one felt different. Being out on the water, feeling the sun, hearing the birds, and seeing the trees around the lake made the whole experience relaxing.
I didnāt know what to expect, but I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Trying something new like this reminded me that there are still simple things in life I havenāt experienced yet. It felt good to slow down and just enjoy the moment.
ā What Stood Out to Me
- The calm water and the view from the paddle boat
- The open sky and the quiet feeling
- Families and friends enjoying the park
- The relaxing pace no rush, no pressure
- The feeling of doing something new for the first time
It made me want to come back again.
š«¶ For Men and Women Who Have Been Here (New or Experienced)
Iām sharing this the same way I would talk to someone in person.
If youāve been paddleāboating here before:
- What do you recommend I try next time besides just saying hi or waving
- How do you ask for help when youāre shy
- What do you all do at this park
And something Iām still learning:
- Can men and women be friends while visiting parks
š± Asking for Instagram Help
Sometimes I need temporary help with Instagram not all the time, just when Iām trying to grow my page for a good cause and community involvement.
If someone is with me during the day:
- How can I ask for Instagram help respectfully
- How can friends help if they arenāt on Instagram
I want to learn how to ask without making anyone feel pressured.
š¬ Easy Questions You Can Answer by Text
You can text me at 720ā461ā5891:
- Have you been paddleāboating here
- What should I try next time I go
- Are you on Instagram
- How do you ask friends for temporary help
š Why I Ask for Texts Instead of Comments
Because of my learning disabilities and memory challenges, texting is easier for me than reading long comment sections. Text messages is my communication accomodation:
- stay focused
- not lose track of conversations
- remember who Iām talking to
Itās not about privacy itās about communication that works better for me.
š Looking Forward to Visiting Again
I want to come back to E.B. Rains Jr. Memorial Park . Iām trying to be social, engaged, and connected with others.
Iām also looking for a group to join not just people my age, but a group from day programs or disability organizations that enjoy outings like this on a Saturday evening. Iāve asked around, but some people arenāt sure how to suggest it.
If youāve been to this park, Iād be happy to hear your ideas.
Feel free to contact me directly.
What should I try next time I visit?
