Today was my very first time ever visiting E.B. Rains Jr. Memorial Park and my first time riding a paddle boat. I’ve been to many parks before, but this one felt different. Being out on the water, feeling the sun, hearing the birds, and seeing the trees around the lake made the whole experience relaxing.

I didn’t know what to expect, but I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Trying something new like this reminded me that there are still simple things in life I haven’t experienced yet. It felt good to slow down and just enjoy the moment.

⭐ What Stood Out to Me

- The calm water and the view from the paddle boat

- The open sky and the quiet feeling

- Families and friends enjoying the park

- The relaxing pace no rush, no pressure

- The feeling of doing something new for the first time

It made me want to come back again.

🫶 For Men and Women Who Have Been Here (New or Experienced)

I’m sharing this the same way I would talk to someone in person.

If you’ve been paddle‑boating here before:

- What do you recommend I try next time besides just saying hi or waving

- How do you ask for help when you’re shy

- What do you all do at this park

And something I’m still learning:

- Can men and women be friends while visiting parks

šŸ“± Asking for Instagram Help

Sometimes I need temporary help with Instagram not all the time, just when I’m trying to grow my page for a good cause and community involvement.

If someone is with me during the day:

- How can I ask for Instagram help respectfully

- How can friends help if they aren’t on Instagram

I want to learn how to ask without making anyone feel pressured.

šŸ’¬ Easy Questions You Can Answer by Text

You can text me at 720‑461‑5891:

- Have you been paddle‑boating here

- What should I try next time I go

- Are you on Instagram

- How do you ask friends for temporary help

šŸ“ Why I Ask for Texts Instead of Comments

Because of my learning disabilities and memory challenges, texting is easier for me than reading long comment sections. Text messages is my communication accomodation:

- stay focused

- not lose track of conversations

- remember who I’m talking to

It’s not about privacy it’s about communication that works better for me.

šŸŒ… Looking Forward to Visiting Again

I want to come back to E.B. Rains Jr. Memorial Park . I’m trying to be social, engaged, and connected with others.

I’m also looking for a group to join not just people my age, but a group from day programs or disability organizations that enjoy outings like this on a Saturday evening. I’ve asked around, but some people aren’t sure how to suggest it.

If you’ve been to this park, I’d be happy to hear your ideas.

Feel free to contact me directly.

What should I try next time I visit?
