Legacy Ridge Golf Course

10801 Legacy Ridge Pkwy, Westminster, CO 80031

Today was a huge moment for me my first time ever joining a National Golf Day event. I’ve been practicing, learning, and trying to get better, but I never expected to actually win something. And today, I did.

I won a golf bag.

For someone still learning, that felt big.

Just like when I first learned how to drive a real vehicle nervous at first, but then it starts to make sense golf is becoming the same way for me. Every swing teaches me something. Every line on the course shows me something new.

I had a lot of fun today. The weather, the people, the course, the energy everything felt right. And now I want to keep learning, keep improving, and keep showing up.

⭐ What Stood Out to Me

- Winning a golf bag for the first time

- Seeing everyone enjoy the event

- Watching different swing styles

- Learning from the golf lines and the course

- Feeling proud of myself for trying

I would like to come back again.

🫶 To Anyone Who Has Been to National Golf Day (Men or Women)

I’m sharing this the same way I would talk to someone in person.

If you’ve been here before or you’re new like me:

- What do you recommend I try next time besides just saying hi or waving?

- What helped you feel confident when you were learning?

- How do you ask for help when you’re shy or unsure

And something I’m still learning:

- Can men and women be friends in a safe, respectful way during or after events like this

🏌️‍♂️ Golf Advice I’m Looking For

I’m still learning how to swing higher and smoother.

If you’re a golf lady or a golf man, feel free to share your suggestions.

I’m open to learning from anyone.

📱 Asking for Instagram Help

Sometimes we all need temporary help with Instagram not all the time, just when we try to grow my page for a good cause.

If someone is with me during the day, how can I ask for help in a friendly, appropriate way

I want to learn how to ask without making anyone feel pressured.

If someone isn’t a social media person, can friends still help each other in other ways

I believe they can but I want to learn how to ask the right way.

💬 Easy Questions You Can Answer by Text

You can text me at 720‑461‑5891.

These questions are simple and easy to reply to:

- Have you ever joined a golf event?

- What should I try next time I go?

- What helped you when you first learned to swing?

- How do you ask friends Instagram for small help without feeling shy ?

- Are you on Instagram ?

📝 Why I Ask for Texts Instead of Comments

Because of my learning disabilities and memory challenges, texting is easier for me than reading long comment sections. Text messages is my communication accomodation.

- stay focused

- not lose track of conversations

- remember who I’m talking to

- respond clearly

It’s not about privacy it’s about communication that accommodated me.

🏆 Looking Forward to Golf Again

I definitely want to return to more golf events. I’m trying to be social, engaged, and connected with others who enjoy golfing.

I’m also looking for a group to join not just people my age 30, but a group from disability organizations or day programs who attend events like this.

I’ve been asking all day if anyone has seen flyers because I’m trying to find a group that fits me.

If you’ve been to National Golf Day, I’d love to hear from you.

Feel free to contact me directly.

What should I try next time I come back?
