Central Park Recreation Center ā 9651 M.L.K. Jr Blvd, Denver, CO 80238
Today was my first time ever joining the pool at the rec center. I didnāt swim yet I need to learn how to ask help and still getting comfortable but I did sit in the water and play basketball while standing in the pool. And honestly, I had fun. It felt good just to be there, moving, trying something new, and enjoying the moment.
Sometimes the first step isnāt swimmingā¦
Sometimes the first step is just getting in the water.
ā What Stood Out to Me
- The water felt relaxing
- Playing basketball in the pool was fun
- I didnāt feel rushed to learn everything at once
- It reminded me that small steps still count
Trying something new can feel scary, but today felt like a good beginning.
š«¶ For swimming women's To Anyone Who knows how to swim in the Pool
Iām sharing this the same way I would talk to someone in person relaxed, honest.
If youāve swim before (men or women):
- What do you recommend I try next time besides just saying hi or waving?
- What helped you when you were learning to swim?
- Is there a part of the pool I should explore more?
And something Iām still learning:
- Can men and women be friends in a safe, respectful way if person doesn't know how to swim?
š± Asking for Instagram Help
Sometimes I need temporary help with Instagram not all the time, just when Iām trying to grow my page for a good cause. If someone is with me at the pool or rec center, how can I ask for help in a friendly, appropriate way?
I want to learn how to ask without making anyone feel pressured.
š¬ Easy Questions You Can Answer by Text
You can text me at 720ā461ā5891.
These questions are simple and easy to reply to:
- What should I try next time at the pool?
- How did you learn to swim?
- Do you like swimming or water basketball more?
- How do you ask friends for small help without feeling shy?
- Is anyone here on Instagram? If not how friends can help?
š Why I Ask for Texts Instead of Comments
Because of my learning disabilities and memory challenges, texting is easier for me than reading long comment sections. Text messages help me:
- stay focused
- not lose track of conversations
- remember who Iām talking to
- respond clearly
Itās not about privacy itās about communication that works better for me.
š Looking to Visit Again
I definitely want to come back. Iām trying to be more social, meet more people, and enjoy more activities in the community.
If youāve been to the pool, Iād love to hear your experience.
