Tonight I spent time at Movie Night in Parfet Park, and even though this isn’t my first time joining a park event, it still felt special. I’ve been to other movie‑in‑the‑park events before (if you haven’t read my 3/14/26 blog, I recommend checking it out), but Golden has its own feeling calm, friendly, and full of people enjoying the evening together.

The weather was nice, the crowd was relaxed, and the whole park felt like a little outdoor living room. Families brought blankets, couples brought snacks, and kids ran around before the movie started. It reminded me why I enjoy community events like this.

⭐ What Stood Out to Me

- The sunset behind the trees

- People settling in with chairs and blankets

- The sound of the creek nearby

- The movie screen glowing as it got darker

It made me appreciate simple moments.

🫶 For Men and Women Who Have Been to Movie Nights (New or Experienced)

I’m sharing this the same way I would talk to someone in person.

If you’ve been to movie‑in‑the‑park events before:

- What do you recommend I try next time besides just saying hi or waving

- How do you ask for help when you’re shy

- What’s your favorite part of movie nights

And something I’m still learning:

- Can men and women be friends while visiting parks

šŸ“± Asking for Instagram Help

Sometimes I need temporary help with Instagram not all the time, just when I’m trying to grow my page for a good cause and community involvement.

If someone is with me during the day:

- How can I ask for Instagram help respectfully

- How can friends help if they aren’t on Instagram

I want to learn how to ask without making anyone feel pressured.

šŸ’¬ Easy Questions You Can Answer by Text

You can text me at 720‑461‑5891:

- Have you been to Parfet Park movie nights

- What should I try next time I go

- Are you on Instagram

- How do you ask friends for temporary help

šŸ“ Why I Ask for Texts Instead of Comments

Because of my learning disabilities and memory challenges, texting is easier for me than reading long comment sections. Text messages is my communication accomodation:

- stay focused

- not lose track of conversations

- remember who I’m talking to

It’s not about privacy it’s about communication that works better for me.

šŸŒ™ Looking Forward to More Movie Nights

I want to come back to Parfet Park maybe on a Saturday evening. I’m trying to be social, engaged, and more connected with others.

I’m also looking for a group to join not just people my age, but a group from day programs or disability organizations that enjoy outings like this. I’ve asked around, but some people aren’t sure how to suggest it.

If you’ve been to movie nights before, I’d be happy to hear your ideas.

Feel free to contact me directly.

What should I try next time I visit?
